The autumn leaves make a distinct rustle as they fall onto the undergrowth beneath the old windswept oak. The breeze picks up from the west and she pulls the Earthen mask from her grave face with determination. The equinox releases the restless spirits of the past unto Ippos and the incantation that precludes their arrival is taken very seriously. The first invocation is a dedication to the Earth and those bound to it. Duchess turns towards the rocking horse and as it begins to slowly rock a child’s laughter fills the air. The Earthen Realm has been opened and the spirits flood Ippos and permeate the corners of Pegasoi, Nymphai, Sylpha and The Fantasy Collective. Duchess gazes off into the distance and mutters, “It is done.” Patiently she awaits the spells of Fire, Air and Water to commence in the far off lands.
