Dance of the Ravens
Two events are now open and in full swing that you must check out before Halloween; Horrorfest 2013 and The Mieville Midway Halloween Gacha Expo! Horrorfest 2013 is a fortnight long horror themed event brought to us by a couple of the creative minds from Zombiefest! Portions of proceeds from Horrorfest 2013 will benefit The Sophie Lancaster Foundation *love this.* The Mieville Midway is a collective of designers bringing the best alternative fashion, vintage, and steampunk items to the grid. The Mieville Midway runs from Oct Fifteenth to Halloween and has one of the most creative Halloween themed playgrounds! After some fancy footwork lessons from Jennifer, I now am one hell of a tightrope walker…and possibly even a professional level tap dancer…. but I digress!
I am loving this ballerina dress from Faster Pussycat is purrrfectly swankified with this amazing black texture that is dark enough for Halloween and still perfect for dancing! Gopu’s outfit is from Avatar Bizarre and I must say it has been fun watching this designer grow and develop his technique, which now only enhances that ingeniously creative mind of his… oh, the outfit is free too (hunt!) The mask Gopu is wearing by Chimeric Fashions is one of my favorite items from Mieville Midway and you will be seeing much more of it I am sure! And for all those photographers that love to Photoshop ravens into their images…. Uncertain Smile has the coolest raven pose ever…. and no Photoshop required! I also want to mention The Forge (earrings & necklace above.) I first found out about The Forge when I was asked to blog the Fantasy Gacha Events. I was in awe at the details and the realistic metal textures and the overall creative designs by Deccan Arida.
